Hello my fellow Technologists,
Another year has passed and now Technologist week is approaching in a few short months. We will all be grateful for William C. Roentgen, who as we all know discovered x-ray. Thanks to him we all have wonderful jobs and can say we have a great we can be profession that we can be proud of. Over the years radiology has grown by leaps and bounds. We now have many sub specialties that we can perform, such as CT, MRI, Pet CT and many others. We all should be proud of the efforts of all.
The PSRT also is a great way to give back to the profession and we need more of you to become involved. The PSRT is putting on a min-conference in November to kick off National Radiological Technologist week. It would great to see technologist from across the state come out to help celebrate. While at the conference you can renew or join the PSRT.
If this time is not convenient for you then you can renew online and then plan on attending the annual state meeting to be held in Seven Springs Mountain Resort in April. We need the support of the technologist and we can all make a difference in our chosen profession. We as technologist should encourage students to become involved as well. If we capture the students at a young age and mold them into excellent technologists. The future lies with them in order for the Society and the profession continue to grow and prospers. As the President of the Society I would like to encourage each of you to get involved. There is something for everyone to do. You can work behind the scenes, work on a committee or become a part of the board. Every little thing helps in the long run.
Please consider becoming more involved and you will find that you will be rewarded for giving of your time and efforts. The benefits can be very rewarding. Hope to see many of you at the Mini-Conference this November or the Annual Meeting in April.
Thank you,
Larry D. Maxwell BSRT (R) (CT)
